The Christmas Samplers, Wall Hangings, Pillows and Ornaments are worked on linen in Counted Thread Embroidery. The publications are done in a notebook style with the chart(s), stitch diagrams and finishing instructions included for the wall hangings and ornaments. Many of these original designs are worked with overdyed thread for that antique quality.

Gingerbread & Delicious Delights Sampler Model stitched on 32-ct. Cream Belfast Design Area: 3 7/8"W x 6"L Thread Used: The Gentle Art Sampler Threads and DMC 6-strand Embroidery Floss There are 18 different specialty stitches used in this design. The Wound Wheel and Ridged Spider stitches work great for the peppermints and other candy in the design. You will learn to stitch a Rhodes Heart and work pine cones in Queen Stitches. The little Gingerbread house has numerous stitches to add texture and interest. The individual motifs could also be used for tree ornaments. The sampler was framed in a purchased 5" x 7" unfinished frame and painted in a Hunter Green. A great project for those of you who like to do your own thing. This sampler is also a companion to my other Gingerbread designs. |

Gingerbread Cottage Ornament This little ornament is worked with 22 different stitches. The rouching (or ruching) technique used on the ribbon makes the look of icing around the outside edge of the ornament. All finishing techniques are provided with this publication. |

Ewe Are So Dear To My Heart There are 15 different stitches used on both ornaments. The tassels on the ornaments were worked through the opening of the Mother of Pearl heart thread rings. This adds a special touch to the overall finishing along with the heart theme.

Feast Upon The Knowledge Eleven different stitches are used on this design. The photo shows the front of the design on the left and the back on the photo right. The French wired ribbon is laced through the openings of the linen band for a very elegant touch. As a tree ornament, fill the pocket with artificial pine boughs and berries. The ornament could also be used as a scissors case. |

Lion & Lamb This design uses 6 specialty stitches. The Looped Turkey Work adds that special touch around the lion's head and the French Knots are a must for the wooly lamb. The instructions include the chart and stitch diagrams. No finishing instructions for the pillow are included with this design. |
